Title: By Captain's Decree

Word Count: 300
Prompt: Hugs
It had started when Usopp found Luffy sitting on the deck deep in thought. He'd sat down beside him and asked.
"What's up?"
"Thinking," he replied.
And so an hour passed in silence. Then Nami came.
"Luffy..."
"Shh, I'm thinking."
Perplexed, she leaned against the tree and waited. Another half-hour passed before Franky came.
"Oi, Strawhat..."
"Quiet! I'm trying to remember something."
Hours passed, each marked with the appearance of yet another confused crew member trying to discern what their captain was up to now. When finally Brook approached, Luffy jumped up with a shout.
"We haven't! I can't believe it!"
Everyone exchanged looks, wondering if perhaps this cryptic statement made more sense to someone else.
"We haven't what?" Chopper asked.
Turning to his friends, and mentally counting them off, Luffy smiled.
"Great! You're all here!"
And before anyone could ask what he was talking about or even prepare themselves for it, Luffy stretched out his arms to encompass them all in a giant hug.
Snuggling his face against Usopp's chest, his strawhat smashing against Zoro's cheek and his armpit pressing into Brook's bony spine; Luffy finally clarified.
"We've never had a group hug before! I thought back on all our adventures and we haven't done it before."
Robin summoned up a spare hand to pat Luffy on the head since she couldn't reach him from where she was smooshed between Nami and Brook.
"This is very nice."
"Yeah!" Usopp murmured from his position somewhere in the middle of the hug. "Very warm!"
Franky was sobbing into Zoro's shoulder. "You guys are all so super!"
Sanji chuckled at Zoro rolling his eyes. "Oh come on, this is rather nice."
"Group hugs are wonderful!" Chopper called out from near their knees.
"Yo-ho-ho! What a pleasant feeling this gives me!"
"Brook, get your hand off my butt!" Nami yelled.
Laughing and grinning, Luffy issued his order.
"By captain's decree, the Strawhat Pirates will now have daily group hugs!"

I really liked how they all slowly show up and Luffy's all surprised that everybody is there like it's a coinsidence. xD
