Dots work, I think. Also Polka Dots if you really want to be specific. That refers to the pattern you're thinking of. Dots could also refer to connecting the dots.
As for dotted, it could refer to something having dots on it. But as a native speaker myself, the first thing that comes to mind is "follow the dotted line".
