One Piece Anything-Goes Challenge Community

A/N: I'm new here, I hope the drabble is good.

It all had just been an experiment that was all. He told him self again and again. It had been one night only, the one night her couldn’t resist the damn pirate. It had also been the last time he saw him.

At first he thought it had been because Ace had finally got what he wanted. He had been fine with that too. It was just his pride that hurt. But when he got the news that he had been capture something else started to hurt. 

He couldn’t sleep at night, couldn’t concentrate on his work. Everything reminded him of the pirate. Everyday he would count how many days he had left to live. Its not you problem, he would say to himself when he caught himself looking at the calendar with hatred, it has nothing to do and it wasn’t like he care. And he continued to ignore the whiny voice that kept on calling him a liar.

 But when he got a note saying he was going to be executed in three days, everything shattered. Portgas was really going to die. Somehow that hurt more than his pride or what other thing had hurt before. “Sir?” Tashigi calls worriedly when she sees him suddenly stop. He had always been pale, but now pale comes short.

After a few minutes he blinks. “Tashigi,” Smoker says. “Turn around the ship; we are heading for Impel Down.” She blinks in confusion without moving. “Didn’t you hear me? It’s an order.” Smoker says with more authority. “Yes, sir.” She salutes before leaving. No, he’s not going to rescue that stupid pirate; he’s just going to prove his point. It was just an experiment.
