I know I'm extremely late on picking a winner and I'm very, very sorry! but you know about life and studies and stuff keeping one busy.

Soooo, I make it short since I've kept you waiting for so long :|
I am happy to announce that [livejournal.com profile] stelra_etnae's cute ill!Chopper drabble won me over in a heartbeat! It's most of all cute and sweet but also a change to have a sick Chopper who needs to be taken care of. I enjoyed the topic and the writing style, the first sentence is a great introduction that leads the reader into a funny and sweet drabble, rounded up with the typical mugiwara mentality. Loved it! <3

I have to apologize for the late post, school started two weeks ago and I've been busy and exhausted ever since.

All three entries were amazing and surprised me a lot which made it really hard to pick a winner. (I'm really bad at choosing as well.) But I go with 'Negative' by [livejournal.com profile] serrende because it's a perfect drabble on Usopp's emtional chaos in a moment that could've ended in canon like it does in the drabble.

Sorry! I apologize for the delay, the last days have been very busy.

Oh gosh, three entries and every of them makes me squee; it was hard picking one. My choice fell on [livejournal.com profile] shindahotaru's short with with its haunting, hypnotizing language and rhythm, befitting its title. It dragged me into the scene that I could hear the drums / hearts beating.

Whoa! I apologize guys, I'm usually way more on the ball than this but ever since I got promoted I've just been insanely busy that I kind of forgot I was judge.

And to my surprise I got three entries! I'm so sorry to keep you all waiting!

This time, I'm giving the win to [livejournal.com profile] ishimura as I enjoyed the rather metaphoric nature of their drabble. It carries itself nicely with few words and just a lot of heart to it.

Take it away!

With two entries, it's time to go ahead and pick a winner and man, do you guys like making it difficult for me! Both entries are great! We have 'The Better Part of Valour' which gives a cute peek at a romantic relationship with Usopp and Nami and the balance of courage between them which is well-characterized and feels sweet and authentic. Then there is 'Definitions' which is a bit about Makino considering how Luffy is viewed by the general public and how she herself views him, not as a fearless man but one who pushes through despite those fears that has just the right amount of pacing and words to get the idea across.

So yes, I am gushing over them both but alas only one can win this round... so, I'm giving this one to [livejournal.com profile] serrende because 'Definitions' did make me consider a character trait about Luffy I don't think I ever have before.

Have fun with it my dear and thank you both for your wonderful entries!

It's taken a while, but we finally have our 2 entries for this round!

Newcomer [livejournal.com profile] ishimura made great use of the prompt to show emotional scars which run so deep that even time has been unable to truly heal them; while [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777 might have stretched the prompt a little (haha) but the result was a lovely piece about Usopp and his emotional conflicts.

That said, it's time to choose a winner! This round's goes to [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777, with the Usopp-centric drabble "Once Forgotten, Never Removed" featuring a character that everyone has forgotten!

So take it away, [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777! :D

It was really hard for me to pick a winner. Both short stories were excellent, really. I am a big BIG fan of vignettes, little moments of time captured in print, and [livejournal.com profile] night_mare_chan did it so hauntingly well with her "Horrors". At the same time, [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777 told a sweet little story in "Firecracker Rumors" about bitty Zoro that was endearingly IC and I do love a good narrative. I think I will have to go with "Horrors" as the winner, as it produced a bit more of an emotional response, and the two were evenly matched in other areas.

So congrats [livejournal.com profile] night_mare_chan! The reigns are yours!

The day I have waited for has finally come; ahaha time to choose a winner!! We had some very interesting characters come about for this cycle. It's nice to see some love being given to the 'sidekicks'.

And I am...  going to hand the torch over to [livejournal.com profile] serrende! The glimpse of Kaku post-arc and regretful was both touching and sorrowful and I liked the balance it managed to keep between duty and desire.
So with that said, have fun with it, Serr-chan!
[identity profile] stelra-etnae.livejournal.com
I hereby conclude this round!

Both entries were awesome! Serrende's story put a twist on the canon setting, adding an unexpected character into a known crew and situation. I like how it deviated from the original work yet stayed true to the timeline in every other aspect.
But nevertheless, I have decided that the winning piece for this round will be [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777's creative AU featuring Merry and Sunny! The fable-style story was very sweet and touching. The presentation of Merry and Sunny as real animals was a very interesting touch. The result was a lovely story that fit very well into the limited word count.

So, congratulations, [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777! Your turn! :D

Winnah!

Well, it's a little late, I admit. But better late than never! And we have two amazing entries! I'm not even sure how I can choose you guys. T.T Come on. But alas, a choice must be made. While I really enjoyed Jade-Kitty's Nami thoughts on Luffy being a hero--

I also really enjoyed [livejournal.com profile] stelra_etnae's look at Garp, Sengoku and Tsuru in the old days. It's rare that we see these guys written about, especially young! And I really like how they were beginning to question 'Justice'. The first cracks starting to appear--

So take it away, [livejournal.com profile] stelra_etnae! And congrats!

Hi guys! Sorry this is a little late, I wanted to get us back on a Sunday schedule if possible (not that it really matters I suppose lol) so I held back a few days.

I do want to say thank you for these three beautiful entries! It was an extremely hard choice for me and I get such excitement just reading the turnout for my prompts, I really do. I never know what to expect people to think up and it makes it really fun even if choosing the winner is so hard!

The winner this time is [livejournal.com profile] night_mare_chan! Not only did I adore the writing style, I originally chose my prompt with finickiness in mind, so Careful surprised me by taking a more - haha - careful approach!

Have fun with it!

Hello everyone! Sorry this is so late.

Both entries for this prompt were very good, but in the end I decided to go with Wallflower by [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777. Take it away!

Sorry that it took so long to post a winner... honestly, I've had a rough RL month and sort of forgot about the contest.  However the winner is [livejournal.com profile] dandywonderous with Chicken Soup.

I will now announce the winner of this round! *drumroll*

We had a lovely set of entries this time.
[livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777 presented a hilarious story involving a prank and lots of red food colouring. I can totally see that scene happening, with the usual craziness aboard the Thousand Sunny, haha.
[livejournal.com profile] serrende's story, on the other hand, also featured Usopp but with a vastly different effect. It was a touching look into the feelings behind the creation of Sogeking, a beautiful insight into Usopp's emotions and inner thoughts.
Last but not least, [livejournal.com profile] synvamp used the colour red to represent the relationship between Zoro and Sanji. The story was sweet, funny at parts and rather wistful at the end, and I like how the colour red was used as the core of the story.

But every round needs a winner, and I have decided to select [livejournal.com profile] serrende's story as the winning piece! I love the way it was written, and how the concept of the colour red representing bravery was explored.

The ball's in your court, [livejournal.com profile] serrende! :D

Oh dearie me, I hope I never win again because I feel like I shot your guys' inspiration down the drain xD;. But, the time has come to finally choose a winner! I was super excited to see the fics for my prompts and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the entries whether they were in or out of contest - they were all wonderful, thank you! After some careful consideration, I've decided to choose [livejournal.com profile] tshapo_chi's A Reflection on the Past because I loved not only the prompt usage, but how in such few short words they managed to send me on a roller coaster of emotion.

So, have fun with i [livejournal.com profile] tshapo_chi!

We had two amazing entries for the past prompt. [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777 wrote a heartwarming fic about the Straw Hats and [livejournal.com profile] macinosh's fic about Ace and numbers was hilarious but also felt very plausible. After a very long time of going back and forth, I decided on [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777's entry. I love how Nami and Luffy in particular was portrayed, and the tone fits perfectly with the holiday season.

Over to you, [livejournal.com profile] jadekitty777!

Well, it seems that my last prompt wasn't very inspiring. Nevertheless,[livejournal.com profile] summer_tempests wrote a wonderful story about the Big Bad in the current arc, Caesar! I love the characterization and the personification of his Grin. But the story was well over 1000 words and is sadly out of the running. [livejournal.com profile] synvamp also wrote a hilarious entry regarding the...friendship...of Zoro and Sanji. The little details sprinkled into the fic really gives it a slice-of-life feel.

And so, our winner for this week month is [livejournal.com profile] synvamp! Take it away! :D

Thanks SO MUCH to everyone for participating in the revival!

I really love this comm and all the great people who visit it XD

I hope that [livejournal.com profile] dawnangel14 will forgive me if I take the rather cheeky step of picking a winnner before the momentum we gathered up peters out... so...

I pick [livejournal.com profile] colordrifter's New Identity - funny and light on the surface and so much more underneath! What an awesome story!

We await your prompt with baited breath!

Yay! Two stories this week, so a huge thank you to [livejournal.com profile] moe81 and [livejournal.com profile] aestover who both threw their hats into the ring. I enjoyed reading both your entries. <3

In the end though, I had to go with Moe's cute, mid-fight scene, so take it away [livejournal.com profile] moe81 ~!

Okay, the choice is difficult..
Before, I want to say thank you very much, for all entries, all differents themes and all differents characters.
I've just loved all entries, all fics and the fanart... I love Nami, Ace, Ussop, Marco, Robin, Aokiji... All >I would nominate summer_tempests with Marco, but in this community it's 300words max.. So, I've decided to nominate *tadadadadadada* [livejournal.com profile] captainkai with the sweet one-shot "Following the Path Before Us"

Thank you to everyone who entered and commented <3

Now take it away [livejournal.com profile] captainkai !
