Title: For Her
pairing: Sanji/Zoro and Sanji/?(probably Nami)
rating: pg13
words:300
topic:endings
notes; Zoro too emotional here?
“So this is it.”
Sanji took the cigarette from his lips and ground the cherry into the deck boards in annoyance.
“It doesn’t has to be.”
“I don’t fucking SHARE, Sanji…not you.” He shook his head. “I won’t.”
“She is going through a rough time right now and…”
“Don’t you dare talk about her. Not now.”
“Zoro…please try to understand for a god damn minute. Her heart was broken when he died and now she is looking at me like a safe haven…she knows I can’t say no. I want her to want to start living again…for her own sake. I am that confidence she needs. You want me to just turn her down? Do you have any idea what that would that do to her?”
If the ero-cook that had been fawning over her all this time rejected her when she was just about to recover that probably’d send her over the edge and back into the abyss.
He had a problem giving a damn.
“You’ve wanted her since the beginning so I shouldn’t be surprised that I’m thrown aside at the first opportunity you get.”
“FUCK YOU. You KNOW it isn’t like that…we’ve talked about this before. I made sure you knew how I felt about you.”
“Do you really think I can believe that now? Obviously the ‘meaningless’ flirting had meant something after all if you are willing to jeopardize the ‘something so much more real and important’.”
Just thinking about the night the blond had said that twisted something painful in his chest. The chef looked pained too actually.
“What do you want me to do?” A hurt, tired, and desperate plea of someone at their wits end…someone trying to make everyone happy.
“You’ve already said yes to her didn’t you?”
Silence.
“Then you’ve done enough.”
