Zoro didn’t care as long as he could fight.
Usopp wanted someone smart and protective.

Luffy looked to Nami expectantly.

“What do you want in our new chef Nami?”

“Well…looks like you have the important things covered.”

“Please Nami? I want to know what kind of person would make you happy.”

“A gentlemen would be nice…handsome…and charming…and willing to spoil me in every way.”

Luffy nodded, Usopp grimaced, and Zoro looked disgusted but they all knew she would probably get her way in the end.

And at the floating sea restaurant The Baratie…they found him.

“Mommy….is that really how you and daddy met?”

Sanjis eyes flashed from the cute bundle of perfect on his knee to the always perfect Nami-swan lounging in the deck chair a few feet away. She took a sip of her drink and smiled at her two admiring family members.

“More or less sweetie. That conversation I might not remember, but…” She looked at the cook with one of those rare tender expressions she only gives him when they are alone. “…he certainly would have been what I would've ask for.”
