Title: Obsessive
Word Count: 172
Character: Boa Hancock
Prompt: Mental Illness
Rating: G, I guess?
Author's Note: It's been a while, hasn't it? All I can say in regards to that is that writers' block is a terrible thing. I have to apologize for the quality of this one, though. I'm really out of practice (and am also running on only an hour of sleep).
Anyway, when observing Hancock's feelings for Luffy, I always end up noticing that she and I seem to have a certain disorder in common.
It had been his blind selflessness that attracted her, at first.
The one trait that made him so different from all the other men she had encountered throughout the course of her life.
Then came the sickness (was it really a sickness) born from her need (want) to be with him - the cure for such an illness was as clear as the diagnosis: either go along with him, or die (she would do it herself if she had to.)
She needed (craved) him, and it was clear that he needed (respected) her, as well.
A proclamation of love…(Just a ‘thank you.’)
A marriage proposal…(A hug.)
And as time progressed, so did her knowledge of what else stood in the way of her goal. There were enemies (only crewmates) that would try to tear them apart and take him away (to where he belongs).
However, every problem (human being) had a solution (a weakness), and Boa Hancock would overcome (eliminate) every last one of them.
After all,
love (obsession) always came in a hurricane.
