Title: Nothing More Than Wishes

Her earliest dream, one she often had when her father would pick her up and twirl her around, was being a superhero. She would save people and be home in time for her mother's chocolate chip cookies.

Then her parents died.

She suddenly found herself rich beyond measure, like a certain count she had read about in one of her father's favorite books. Her every need was met and her servants were more than willing to cater to her wants.

But what she wanted, what she dreamed about was to escape her mansion.

She never expected the village liar to be the one who freed her with his fantastical stories.

Months after he left she could be found watching the horizon.

His return two years later brought her a contentment she had never known before.

Now she sits by the fire, a hand on her steadily increasing belly as she feels a kick.

And it's everything she's dreamed about.
