“Can’t you do something to convince him?”
Nami looked up at Brook over her tea cup and glanced over to the kitchen where Sanji was still putting the finishing touches on their dessert.
“I probably could but don’t you think if he wanted to go back on tour he would have at least considered it when you brought it up earlier?”
Brook hummed and fingered his leather satchel filled with the many tunes he’d written with the cook in his bachelor days.
“He might just want your approval. We were quite popular; sometimes the girls would throw their panties on the stage. Yohohohoho!!” Two nearly skeletal hands came to his mouth in a good-natured, if somewhat perverted titter.
Nami looked shocked.
“You were that popular?”
Brook nodded cautiously, unsure if he just doomed his approaching friend to a lecture. In fact he was, just not the lecture he was expecting.
“Sanji-kun! You didn’t tell me you were that popular! Think of the money we can make with the proper management and promotion!”
Before her hands could come together and eyes alight with the sparkle of potential money to be hand, soft lips were pressing against her throat and nimble fingers through her hair.
“I’m not going on tour. I can’t.”
“Huh? Why not?”
Sanji gives her a smile.
“You can’t just play a song, you got to feel the music.”
Brook smiled softly in understanding.
“Ah.”
“Those songs were before we were together.” He puts the dessert on the table and gives Nami a hug. “Do you think I can sing about wanting to find the one when I already found her? Now that I have you, I can’t play the blues even if I tried.”
“Sorry.” She whispered, but she wasn’t really.
