For most people, waking up wearing only a pair of pants would be a bit disconcerting; unless, of course, said people made a habit of living out of a rum barrel. For Fire Fist Ace, waking up with only a pair of pants on was rather normal. Truth be told, the first few weeks after eating the Flame Flame Fruit, Ace frequently woke up with no clothes left - having burned them all off in the night. He was unfazed by the entire affair until Jack bought a camera in preparation for the next time he woke up and waltzed around the ship starkers before realising it. Flame retardant pants. Who would have thought?

"You look like a member of the fire brigade, idiot," Jack of Spades said when Ace had shown off his new pants.

"Who else would need pants that don't catch fire?"
