Title: Air Force (Over) Power Shoot
Rating: PG
Pairing/Characters: Zoro, Sanji mentioned
Word Count(if applicable): 253
Prompt: “Falling"
Well this was just… special.
Zoro contemplated his ridiculous amount of airtime with little more than a stoic frown (perhaps even a faint amount of approval at the obvious improvement). Were he any judge – and both distance and speed were both important to a swordsman, to begin with – he hadn’t quite reached the zenith of his trajectory, yet.
When they had all met up again, everything clicked back into place – their bonds as strong as ever, like no time had passed. So when a devilfruit using vice-admiral started throwing potshots of dubious effect at them (they had so far managed to dodge, but each impact kicked up the waves impressively) from just out of range, it was natural to let Sanji give him a leg powered boost to the other ship.
Well – he had passed the ship a bit ago (it had blown up rather nicely: his slash must have ignited a good measure of powder on board) and had yet to land.
Enemy down, he was sure the others were already on their way to pick him up, but the swordsman did not relish the prospect of treading water until they got there.
Folding his arms pointedly - not that anyone except, perhaps Usopp, would notice at this distance – he settled in to wait it out. There was only open ocean ahead of him, and the only danger it could hold should be more afraid of him.
If one thing were certain, they were going to practice before they tried this again.
