night_mare_chan and evercelle! I had to go back and reread both of them before I could decide (and trust me, it was a difficult decision).
I'm happy to announce that the winner this week isevercelle, for a heart-wrenching entry that was also wonderfully open to interpretation. (Is the ghost in the machine the voices inside the tone dial? Are the voices in the dial the ghosts and Brook the machine, living but not truly alive? Brilliant!)
