The first time I saw you, I couldn’t help but stare. Something about you radiated strength, passion, life. It was by no means small but I could feel the potential. It would grow and it would consume the world.

The first time you spoke, I couldn't help but stare. Your words were simple and full of laughter but the underlying insistence that brooked no argument caused the ground to tremble in your wake. It was frightening.

The first time you fought, I couldn't help but stare. Completely unassuming, you broke the enemy down and they gazed at you with horrifying realisation; your strength was incomparable. It was stunning.

The first time I asked for help, I couldn't help but stare. You weren't surprised. You waited for the inevitable and the pressure of your hand on my head was intensely reassuring. The tears I finally cried were worth it.

The first time you were hurt, I couldn't help but stare. Everything stopped; I couldn't breathe, I couldn't hear. Your blood was as red as anyone else's when it ran freely. It was terrifying.

The first time you touched me, I couldn't help but stare. Your hands were warm and your eyes were gentle, you brought me to life. Everything about you made me feel at peace. It was comforting.

The first time you say it, I can't help but stare. I could ask why me but I already know what you will say. You make me whole, even when you're infuriating and for that, I can't ask for anything more. You make me feel loved.

The descriptions of Luffy were spot-on. That's exactly how he carries himself, and your Nami caught it perfectly. &hearts
