Try Honesty
Sanji doesn't usually write poetry, but for the ones he loves most, he can try and he can read it out loud to them to show just how much they mean to him.
So he sits with a pen in his hand--but he doesn't put any words on paper, because he doesn't even know who or what to write about first. He could write about Nami and how he'll always protect her, or something about Robin and how she doesn't know that she's beautiful when she really is. He could write about dancing in the rain or traveling on the seas for Vivi for when they meet again.
But he doesn't end up stumbling through syllables while trying to make everything perfect.
(Nami would push him away before he got to read past the first stanza.)
Lost letters and words just call out to him, begging him to please give them meaning.
(Robin would listen and smile and walk away in silence or continue to read her books.)
But there is no meaning to anything and there never will be.
(Considering how dangerous the Grand Line is, he will probably never see Vivi again.)
And so, he writes nothing.
