title: The kings of D
words:232
pairing:Roger/Dragon
topic: Beginnings
They could have been together forever.
The lively discussions about making a difference and their revolution over drinks, the quiet laid plans over tea, and the whispered filth in bed before dawn, the two men were cut from the same cloth of charisma and destiny. They both bared the will of D.
Together they could have toppled governments and changed the world, painting it as they wished.
Dragon had a foolproof plan. The two of them would be unstoppable in five years.
Then Roger had less then five.
Dragon could change the plan, but he couldn’t change Rogers mind. In the time left he wanted to laugh, have fun, and change what he could in a dynamic flashy way. He didn’t want to hold his lovers plans back and left in the middle of the night to form the best crew and begin a great age of piracy.
The one left behind worked through the pain…twisting the now impossible plan to a string of long term goals. Taking wins when he could and having two sons he ended up neglecting along the way.
Because if his plan, his dream, of changing the world doesn’t happen…then he made the worst mistake of his life by not following Roger when he woke up that night and saw him packing.
And Dragon refused to regret a single moment being with the future King of Pirates.
