Summary: For a small bundle of white berries, mistletoe is pretty damned super.
A/N: Definitely not my best, but I like it enough and the idea wouldn't leave me alone.

Franky was never that fond of mistletoe.

It wasn’t that he had anything against the plant, it was just that the cyborg didn’t really like or care for the idea of kissing someone simply because they both happened to be standing under a small cluster of white berries. Especially after Luffy insisted on hanging it all over each doorway for the sake of holiday cheer (personally, Franky thought wearing a red vest with some white trim and one of those hats was festive enough, but apparently not enough to please the young captain) and then shouting about how “it’s tradition!” or something like that.

At first, Franky didn’t really care – but after meeting up with Zoro, Sanji, or any of the men in a doorway, then have someone push reluctant faces together and laugh about it? Needless to say, it was a series of experiences that the shipwright wished to forget. Shaking his head, Franky reached up to take down the small plant that stood above the door to his workshop. It wasn’t like he wanted it up there, and if nothing else, it was a way to avoid another unwanted moment with a fellow crewmate.

“You’re taking it down?”

“Eh? Yeah, I am.” Franky muttered, still trying to get the plant off the ceiling (and ignoring the fact that he didn’t realize Robin was there until she was right in front of him). The younger woman simply quirked an eyebrow before giving Franky one of those odd ‘half-smiles’ of hers, “You shouldn’t do that just yet.”

Before the shipwright had a chance to respond, Robin stood on her toes and pressed a soft kiss against Franky’s lips, only to pull away sooner than he would have liked. “It’s tradition.”

...Perhaps he could leave it up a little bit longer.

I keep forgetting he's old. He's so silly sometimes, I forget that he's so much older than most of them. How old is he? I was under the impression that Robin was the oldest. Um. Brook doesn't really... count. Loved how Franky sounded a trifle bit jaded, resigned and then interested~ Ugh.

I love how BIG Franky is next to Robin. It's just the fluff sucker in me that adores that they look so right together and that he'd totally be able to shield her from harm. XD They're perfect! This. Is. Perfect. ♥ Completely fit the prompt! And, LUFFY. Ohmygawd, silly sencho. XD

and haha! awww. WELL, I'M GLAD YOU LIKED IT. I love writing for these two, definitely need to do it more often.

and aha. Yeeeah. I figure Luffy would want mistletoe around the ship not because omg kisses from ppl (that's more like Sanji-logic) but because a) IT'S TRADITION OKAY and b) I have no doubt he'd get a laugh out of the potential that such a plant could bring on. OR MAYBE I'M JUST DUMB idk man. XD

Luffy just keeps recruiting older and older people, huh. Next we know, he's going to have some undead on his crew older than Brook. One of those blood-sucking types that'd fascinate Robin. XD And YES to Luffy's silliness and trifling amusements. D'aww, he's adorkable. XD And, naw. We all totally get Luffy's logic in theory. It's just how he puts it to practice that baffles us from the sheer dumbness (and incredibly unnatural good luck).
