He was not going to fail. Absolutely not.

Grinning from behind his hiding spot he simply could not hide the cheeky grin plastered on his face. Why should he. This plan was waterproof. He was going to get that kiss from that pineapple, and he had the perfect excuse to back it up with.

Christmas. And in particular. Mistletoe.

The little plant, secured safely on the doorframe leading towards the first division quarters would guarantee his success. He knew Marco would pass it. He did each day. He just had to wait. Then Ace felt it.

No not now.

Bolting up he cursed. How long had he been out. Checking the clock he cursed even louder. He’d been asleep. For two damn hours. Chances were lost now though. Chewing on his bottom lip he finally let out a defeated sigh and gathered himself from the floor.

One luck, he figured, was that he had been behind crates. Someone would have been smart enough to put one and one together and figure out what his plan had been.

Reaching the door he cursed as it hit his nose. He blamed it on his still sleepy state, not being able to dodge it. About ready to flame whoever wasn’t paying attention he blinked when he saw Vista.

“Oh, Sorry Ace, have you seen Marco perhaps? Pop wants to talk to him. “

As if on cue, one of the berries fell down on the floor. Ace prayed vista wouldn’t noticed, but he did. Looking up he started laughing. Ace felt his heartbeat increase, please, please don’t let Vista be a man of traditions.

“Mistletoe ey, well pucker up Ace, you know the tradition. “

LOL! .XD *sporfles?* Yes Ace failed with sticking mistletoe. Like every D he has his luck and all, but his luck is cancelled out by his bad planning, and sleeping patern? XD Thank you dear, that is a bigt compliment.

I do apoligise for disconcerting you with the Vista/Ace. ((I'm actually pro for vista/mihawk but well it just fitted, it can't be helped. it's written now. XD ))
