[identity profile] irrelevant.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] onepiece_300
Wow. Just wow. This was an incredible first response and so many amazing entries. You guys made this really, really hard. There were so many I loved: [livejournal.com profile] dried_frog_pill's Raleigh and kid!Shanks, [livejournal.com profile] serrende's mini-Paulie, [livejournal.com profile] pyrat_xo's Robin musing on Luffy and Crocodile, and [livejournal.com profile] runic_binary's marvelous look at possible Lucci/Kalifa backstory especially.

But the entry that really fit the prompt and delivered the nakamaship for me is [livejournal.com profile] oxymoronic3's Stories. It's Usopp doing what he does best and the crew being the crew around him. ♥

[livejournal.com profile] oxymoronic3, the stage is yours.

Additional mod-type insert: We now have shiny new tags! If you guys could at least tag your posts with the genre that fits best (gen, het, nakamaship, slash or femslash) and entry-type (fiction or art), we'd appreciate it greatly. If you feel like adding a character tag, feel free!
Also, a small addendum to the rules: let's keep the entries to three per person. Not that I think it'll be a big deal, but we're still a baby comm, we don't want to spam people's f-pages.

Okay...but by limiting it to three that means I'm more likely to write throughout the week and choose the three best and post those on Wed night. With all three entries coming in at the same time...wouldn't that be more noticeable on friends pages?

And then all those inelidgeable entries will go...somewhere else I guess, despite being from the desired topic.

It just seems so sad.

Love the new tags btw!

Maybe you could put all three under one cut? That way friend's pages wouldn't be spammed.

Of course, that sort of thing is best left for the mods to decide, but I thought I'd put it out there.

I suppose that is true...but that always has come across as sloppy to me. Especially if your are trying to index and tag for archival purposes.

Mmm I see what you mean. Although technically, you'd just have to have a lot of tags for that entry.

Personally, I don't mind a bit of flist spam from communities. If it bothers me, I just take them off my friend's list and check entries at my leisure.

Me too! That's why I am a part of the onepiece community but don't actively watch it on my friends list.

With the drabble communities I can be far more forgiving since everything is so lovely and condense under cuts.

Congrats!!!!

Ohh. Shiny tags! Nicely organized.

And I'm liking this 3-limit post rule. As much as it is nice to read fics by the gallons, it's not so much the spam, but when the quality, plot, and grammar/punctuation goes down because there's some burning out. There's also the intimidation factor for new writers when they see the abundance of posts being made.

But, anyways I'm happy this comm. is off to a good start. ^_^

Ooh, shiny new tags! Thank you for tagging mine!

But, um, I think I need to change them, and before I start mucking with that, I need to know if characters who are only mentioned in passing (vs. being active characters in the drabble) actually count for a tag?
